Go to the magic site. Two awesome articles. One explaining the purple cards, and a sortable spoiler of timespiral and the "purple cards" which are weird to explain. Just go read it, and look at the spoiler. Its awesome (avatar of woe purple ftw)

My stuff on the new set:
Sean: -there is this card "dark Withering" and with a madness cost of one black it destroys target non-black creature, that's pretty hot for yer psycatog deck... -or how about "fathom seer" where once you unmorph it (the price to unmorph is to return 2 islands to your hand) you draw two cards?
Julian: -Jaya Ballard, Task Mage... just look it up
And for me: -"firewake sliver"- All Slivers have haste and "1 Mana, Sacrifice this creature: Target Sliver gets +2/+2 until end of turn." Tap them for magma and still have them do two more (and haste is really helpful too for rushing faster). It's 1 green, one red, one colorless so it's basically guarenteed in the theme deck... -Also "fury sliver" All slivers have double-strike... could you ask for a better combo with magma sliver? costs 6, but i'd still hit that... -"Hive stone" artifact, costs 2... all my creatures are now slivers... -"might sliver" All Slivers get +2/+2 + with hive stone =replacement of death pit -i just now realized how much of a double edged sword crystaline slivers are -plague sliver...All Slivers have "At the beginning of your upkeep, this creature deals 1 damage to you." welcome to the worst sliver EVER -psionic sliver...All Slivers have "Tap: This creature deals 2 damage to target creature or player and 3 damage to itself." another incredible sliver. i don't think it would be worth adding to my deck though... -"pulmonic sliver" All Slivers have flying and "If this creature would be put into a graveyard, you may put it on top of its owner's library instead."... where do i sign up? more practically though i'd just use the sliver that allows slivers to block flying and it only costs 2 as opposed to this one costing 5 -"telekinetic sliver" All Slivers have "Tap: Tap target permanent." weep now
This new set definitely makes things more interesting...
And for holy crap wtf cards "fortune thief" a 0/1 and can unmorph for only two red. Damage that would reduce your life total to less than 1 reduces it to 1 instead. So if their deck has no way to target individual creatures...
And basically the coolest card ever (practicality not guarenteed) "Gemstone Caverns" "If Gemstone Caverns is in your opening hand and you're not playing first, you may begin the game with Gemstone Caverns in play with a luck counter on it. If you do, remove a card in your hand from the game. Tap: Add 1 Mana to your mana pool. If Gemstone Caverns has a luck counter on it, instead add one mana of any color to your mana pool."

Yeah I was really impressed when I saw hivestone. If you could get some hivestones you could put in much cheaper and faster creatures to quicken you deck. But then again, I could run a hivestone in my psychatog when Im playing you to make my psychatog a pwnage sliver ftw. P.S. "Psychatog" = "Mind Goat" P.P.S. What they changed about their boosters now starting with timespiral is that when you get a foil card, it replaces a common. It used to be when you get one it replaces that card type. Like if you get a foil rare it replaced a foil rare. SO now you can get two rares, plus you always get a purple card now too which could be rare. SO you could get 3 rares in a booster pack. And I think they are putting a foil card in every pack? or they already do? im not sure. P.P.P.S: The black madness card which destroys a creature fits a psychatog deck well. I would put two in my deck. And the second card works well if you run foils in your psychatog deck. Foil = ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?&id=24587# I have only one foil and thats the main reason I put 4 gushes in my deck, besides gush being a broken card that basically gives psychatog +6/+6. But more islands in hand + foil = surprise counterspell.
