Actually, my dad is convinced I need a mac. This is good because, I researched, and a Mac book pro can run oblivion and Nwn 2 nicely. With boot camp installed, which enables it to run windows.

to run boot camp you'll have to have the windows install cds though (and sometimes when you buy a comp the company wont even give you a physical copy of windows beyond a backup disk)
that newegg computer looks ok except for one thing- integrated graphics... i can't get behind that...
my advice- wait for Vista... might as well... that way you don't have to worry about apple tomfoolery and you'll have the operating system of the future... (my parents are getting me a notebook for graduation/birthday and that's what imma do)

You should check out Dell sean they are selling refurbished 64bit computers for a good price. If you are wondering what that means. Windows Vista promises to be the only operating system with a true 64bit environment. Dont get Vista right away though as just like with Windows XP there will be service packs released soon enough.

I know where they are if they did come with it, but then again I dont think they did. Ill look into vista, I dont know much. my dad is just convinced I need a mac though, so I was trying to make the best of it. he thinks I will never have problems with a mac.

probably less problems than with a pc overall, though. I mean, my laptop has gone through so much shit it seems to have caused on its own, just because it sucks. right now the dvd drive is completely useless, a second major repair I will have to make on it in the span of 3 years. Ive read tons of user reviews on the mac book pro and the only common problem is it gets hott.

about the windows service pack discs, you can order them for free off microsoft's web site. I guess you just have to pay shipping?
